The New York Yankees are about to call up their top ranked prospect.
The Yankees have been considering promoting Jesus Montero to the Majors from Triple-A. The move is expected to take place in the coming days.
Montero is expected to take at-bats away from Jorge Posada, who was told that his at-bats are going to diminish. Montero is expected to take those designated hitter at-bats that was formerly Posada's.
Montero is the 6th overall prospect in baseball, according to MLB.com. Montero is batting .289 with 11 home runs with 51 RBI's at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
