Cowboys will not release Roy Williams

By Anthony Caruso III

There was rumors that Roy Williams could be released by the Dallas Cowboys.

But those rumors are not true. The Cowboys will not release Williams in an attempt to save money under the cap.

The Cowboys would have taken a $12.9 million dollar salary cap hit by releasing Williams. Williams is expected to make $5.1 million when the new CBA is decided with the NFL.

Williams is expected to be the Cowboys No. 3 wide receiver to Tony Romo when the new season starts.
