The Toronto Blue Jays could be without their best player for a while.
The Blue Jays requested that Jose Bautista undergo an MRI on his neck today. The MRI showed no structural damage. However, it did show some inflammation.
"We've got to let that subside," Blue Jays manager John Farrell said.
The Blue Jays are expected to rest Bautista in the coming days, but will not be placed on the disabled list. He has only 9 home runs this year after being the reigning home run champion.
