J.R. Smith gets a ticket for driving without a valid license on a scooter

By Anthony Caruso III

J.R. Smith was cited for driving without a license.

Your assumptions would be that Smith would be driving a car at the time of this ticket. However, that was not the case. He was cited for driving a scooter without a valid license in Miami.

Early reports said that Smith was arrested, but those were later proved wrong. Smith was just given a ticket.

This ticket would affect Smith's status on free agency once the NBA agrees to a new collective bargaining agreement.
