Aroldis Chapman has thrown the fastest pitch in the Majors last season in quite some time.
Chapman is starting to find his velocity again. He started the season at the Triple-A level. Last season, he reached a 108 mph on the gun several times out of the bullpen.
He pitched a perfect inning in the Reds loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday night. Chapman struck out one and walked none Chapman averaged just over a 100 mph on his fastball, with a 102.4 mph on his fastest pitch.
Chapman is expected to get more chances in the future. And the Reds are hoping to let out a huge sigh of relief when he’s back in the bullpen.
