J.C. Romero is likely headed to the 15-day disabled list.
The Philadelphia Phillies left-handed specialist will know more later today. He strained his right calf in the ninth inning against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citizens Bank Park.
After injuring his self, Romero had trouble walking to the Phillies dug out. Romero recorded the first two hours, before injuring his calf when he was pitching to Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez.
“I was trying to push off the leg and it kind of gave out on me,” Romero said. “I knew something was wrong.”
