Edwards wins the Spring All-Star race, then wrecks his car

Carl Edwards has become a million dollars richer.

Edwards won the $1.2 million dollar Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Edwards beat out Kyle Busch for the victory.

Edwards won three segments in the race. He missed out on sweeping all four segments.

After the race, Edwards wrecked his car. He apparently hit a manhole over a drainage area, which messed up the front end of his car.

"You never know what comes from misfortunes and it was definitely unfortunate," Edwards said. "Pretty wild twist of fate that we tore it up, but I'm going to have faith something good will come from it."
