The NFL to host a player development program for high school football players

The NFL will be hosting an NFL High School Player Development program this spring and summer.

The NFL expects more than 30,000 high school football players will attend the events at a 150 sites in 36 states. The program will focus on character development, life skills and on-field techniques from May to August.

The program started in 2001 and has provided participants with a curriculum that focuses on inspiring excellence in the classroom, community, and on the field. The program is free to students, who would like to attend.

Each participant will be given an HSPD Student Planner, an initial NCAA eligibility requirements, and time management instructions. Other information will be posted on the HSPD website as www.nflyouthpd.com.
