Joe Jones now has another men's basketball head coaching position.
Jones, who has been a Boston College assistant coach, has been hired by Boston University as their men's basketball head coach. The school announced Jones would replace Patrick Chambers, who decided to leave Boston University to become the new Penn State early this month.
Jones was an associate head coach at Boston College for a season. Prior to arriving at Boston College, Jones spent seven seasons as the head coach at Columbia. While at Columbia, the Lions won 16 games in 2006-07, which was the most since 1992-93.
Jones has also spent time as an assistant coach at Hofstra from 1994 to 1997, before moving on to Villanova as an assistant coach from 1997 to 2003. After leaving Villanova, he became the Columbia head coach.
