Sergio Mitre is back with the New York Yankees.
Mitre was acquired by the Yankees for cash considerations from the Milwaukee Brewers. Mitre was designated for assignment on Monday by the Brewers.
Mitre had a 3.27 ERA in 33 innings with the Brewers after being acquired from the Yankees for Chris Dickerson in March.
Mitre was also with the Yankees in 2009 and 2010. He spent two seasons with the Florida Marlins, before starting his career with the Chicago Cubs in 2003.
