Fowler sent to Triple-A immediately after being activated from the disabled list

By Anthony Caruso III

Dexter Fowler thought he was going to go back to the Colorado Rockies.

But the Rockies did not feel the same way. After being activated off of the 15-day disabled list, Fowler was sent down to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Fowler was hitting .238 with an .688 OPS at the big league level this season. He is expected to work on swinging the bat from the left side of the plate at the Triple-A level.

Charlie Blackmon is expected to play left field. Carlos Gonzalez, who was playing left field, has been moved to center field.
