Terrell Owens has been dealing with a torn ACL, but has to deal with a lawsuit now.
Owens is accused of not paying child support, according to the mother of Owens' child. He has refused to pay the $5,000 a month in child support he owes.
Melanie Smith filed the lawsuit against Owens in Atlanta on June 20th. The lawsuit is seeking to hold the Owens in contempt.
“She simply asks that he follow the order to which he agreed,” said Atlanta attorney Randall Kessler. “Rather than discussing his situation with her or her lawyers first, he simply cut his child support.”
The lawsuit was filed in Fulton County, Georgia, because Owens is a resident of that county, when he's not playing football.
