The New York Mets have made a roster move.
The move is minor in terms of roster moves. But the Mets have designated Nick Evans for assignment.
Evans had only had 12 at-bats with the Mets this season. Five of those at-bats ended in walks. He has had a 151 plate appearances at the Triple-A level this season.
It is the second time he's been removed from the active roster this season. The team will call-up a player later day.
