Barry Bonds is fighting a new uphil battle.
A federal judge has granted the media access to detailed questionaires that prospective jurors fill out before testimony begins in the upcoming perjury trial. Susan Illston, a U.S. District Court Judge, granted the media requests, which assists the judge and lawyers in seating a jury.
The jury will not be named until the end of the trial, according to Illston. She is concerned with the media and public trying to reach out to the jury if their names were released. A miscommunication could lead to a mistrial.
The trail is expected to start on March 21st. It is expected to last at least two weeks. Bonds is accused of lying to a grand jury in 2003 when he "unknowingly" took steroids.
