New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire will not face a one-game suspension after the NBA rescinded a technical foul he received during Thursday's loss in Dallas.
Stoudemire was whistled for his 16th technical of the season after coming together with the Mavericks' Brendan Haywood in the second quarter. Both players were smiling and even the referee agreed it wasn't serious, Stoudemire said after the game.
Sixteen technicals mean an automatic suspension under league rules unless the NBA, as it did with Stoudemire, erases the foul. Orlando's Dwight Howard has already been suspended this season under the rule.
