The Cincinnati Reds are hoping that they are not without Scott Rolen for an extended period of time.
Rolen left Thursday’s Cactus League game with an apparent elbow injury. He was not able to grip the bat after being hit by the pitch in the left elbow.
The Reds are waiting on further teams to see how long Rolen will be out. Right now, they are not sure how serious the injury might be.
The Reds put Rolen through a series of tests on Thursday night. They are expected to get their first update on the seriousness of his injury on Friday morning.
