Oregon to play at their new arena in an opening game of the CBI

By Anthony Caruso III

When Oregon did not get selected to play in the upcoming NCAA March Madness tournament, they found out they were selected to a lesser tournament.

Oregon will be playing in the 16-team College Basketball Invitational. The Ducks will face Weber State on Wednesday night at their new $227 million, on-campus basketball arena.

Oregon is the only Pac-10 team in the tournament, and are also the only team from a traditional power conference in the CBI.

Boise State, Davidson, and Central Florida are some other teams to play in the tournament. UCF plays St. Bonaventure, while Boise State plays Austin Peay and Davidson plays James Madison.

Other matchups include San Jose State at Creighton; Duquesne at Montana; Hofstra at Evansville; and Miami, Ohio, at Rhode Island.
