The San Francisco Giants do not know if they will open the season with its closer.
The Giants general manager Brian Sabean said that there’s a 50-50 chance that Brian Wilson opens the season on the 15-day disabled list. Wilson has been hampered by an oblique injury.
He suffered a mild oblique strain last weekend. He did not have a good throwing session on Wednesday. This is why Sabean came out with his thoughts on the situation.
Wilson will be back to full strength by mid-April. Sergio Romo is expected to receive the save chances until Wilson comes back.
