Brandon Belt is going to replaced by the World Series MVP.
Belt will be sent down to Triple-A today in order to make room for Cody Ross. Ross is expected to be activated from the disabled list.
Belt has an impressive 8 strikeouts-12 walk ratio over his first 61 Major League plate appearances. But he’s battling below the Mendoza line of .200 with one home run and four RBI’s.
The only other option the Giants could make is to keep Belt up at the Major League level and design Aubrey Huff for assignment.
