The Iowa Hawkeyes’ football team is all hoping that offensive lineman Dan Heiar makes a speedy recovery.
Heiar was involved in a single-car accident over the weekend. There’s no word on how bad the accident was, except for Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz saying that Heiar’s condition will be updated at the appropriate time.
"Dan Heiar was in an accident this weekend and is currently hospitalized," Ferentz said in a prepared statement. "Our only concerns right now are Dan's well-being and recovery."
Heir participated in spring practice with the Hawkeyes after enrolling in the school in January. He transferred to Iowa from Iowa Western Community College.
