Lembo makes his first big announcement with naming the captains

By Anthony Caruso III

First-year Ball State head coach Pete Lembo has announced his first captains of the 2011 Ball State football team.

Sean Baker, Kgreg Hunter, Adam Morris, Briggs Orsbon, and Andrew Puthoff were selected as the team captains. The captains were selected by votes by the coaching staff and players.

"We are confident these five student-athletes will lead and represent our football program well both on and off the field," Lembo says. "They have been assets during the coaching transition and have earned the respect of their teammates. These guys all have outgoing personalities that will enable them to connect with the wide spectrum of players in the program. I look forward to working with them in the weeks and months to come as we continue preparations for the 2011 season."

Baker is the lone captain from 2010. He was an All-Mid-American Conference Second-Team selection and won the team's John Magnabosco Award, which is the MVP award for the team.
